Today I am going to tell you the exact eight steps you need to take to create a SpongeBob birthday. I will be using PartyKidShop’s experience in organizing a SpongeBob party. This will help you better understand the preparation process. Also, a SpongeBob party kit freebie is waiting for you later on. So keep on reading to find out those steps. All that will help you create an amazing party or even a better one if you put all the love in it!
This time we made happier a little boy David whose favorite cartoon hero guess who? Yes, SpongeBob SquarePants! I am sure that now you are starting to think about event decoration and cake table yummies. But there are a few things you need to consider first. We need to make everything at a party place look and feel in the same style. Because of that kids will get as much excitement as possible!
At first, you need to think about colors. Pick a few colors that look great together and correlate with the SpongeBob theme. Luckily, the cartoon itself suggests us yellow, blue, green and pastel pink colors (hey Patrick!). Those would work great together, look at the party pictures below!
Not only the cake table may be the most exciting thing for your kid’s birthday. What about a large banner with the SpongeBob heroes wishing a “Happy Birthday” to your kid with his/her name on it? Look at the picture, it adds even more emotions!
For our party, we used a 4 ft by 4 ft SpongeBob backdrop which we have designed ourselves. When the little David came into the room, he was taken away by it. I can’t describe feelings the boy had thanks to a large print with favorite cartoon heroes!
Also, think about a way of fixing the banner. You may use adhesive hangers, nylon ropes or, if you a lucky one who has a stand, then hang the banner on it using zip ties. A good place for such a large party element may be behind a cake table.
As you may have already noticed on the party pictures, there are custom party kit items. Besides helping you create a cake table in the same style they also come personalized.
A good SpongeBob Birthday package should include the following:
You have all the necessary printables now. The next step you need to take is to find a reliable printing place. Luckily, there is no need for you to waste time on searches. You may order printing online on Vistaprint’s website. They can handle the printing of the backdrop and party kit items, and shipping it to you. Upload the images and follow the order instructions. If you are not convenient doing so yourself, give Vistaprint a call for help.
Printing and shipping of your ordered printables may take time. So while you are waiting, it would be great to find a matching SpongeBob table setting. There are plenty of them on Amazon and eBay. Before ordering one, keep in mind that you need to find a setting that matches the colors from the first step! Otherwise, it may look awkward if you decide to order in different colors. Once you have the matching one, you can move on to the next step.
While waiting for all those deliveries you have some time to deal with a bakery. It is the high time to think about the cake ideas, its fillings and so on.
For David’s party, we have also ordered cupcakes and cake pops. You may add as many yummies to your cake table as it can hold. The main thing here is to keep to the SpongeBob theme across all party elements. Use the same colors I mentioned earlier to achieve that.
So you have already taken care of a party place decorations and a cake table. But what will you do if your little birthday hero and party guests get bored? No one wants that for sure, it’s a party after all!
In this case, you need to think about an entertainment program for the kids. As an option, you may invite a SpongeBob character mascot as we did for the little David’s party. Everyone enjoyed spending time with a huge SpongeBob. Professional mascots know well how to make kids forget this annoying word “bored”!
Also, you may want to buy helium balloons with the same SpongeBob theme colors (yellow, blue, green, pink). Balloons may serve not only as a decor element. You may give them away to party guests when they leave. This will extend positive feelings for young visitors after the party.
OK, the print shop has delivered your order. So it’s time to get hands-on cutting and gluing all the party kit items.
First, cut out all the items which need that. Then take a casual glue stick and use it to make popcorn boxes and birthday caps. Further, take bottle labels and stick them to water or juice bottles. With the help of a hot glue gun, you may stick toppers to wooden skewers, and tie bows from a ribbon to it. Or you may use transparent duct tape if you don’t have a glue gun.
Finally, we have the party supplies ready for use!
So this day has come, the birthday party all the kids were waiting for so long! It’s time to decorate everything and make sure it all looks perfect. Make sure to have enough time for the decoration process before the party starts. We leave about two or three hours to do everything without the rush.
You may start decorating bigger party elements first and then move on to little ones. Usually, we start with a party banner which usually becomes the major décor element. Then you can move on to hanging a personalized birthday garland to the table. After that, place water or juice bottles and candies that you ordered from a bakery. To the sides of a table, it’s great to have color balloons.
Now that you have done all that, you may move on to meeting your party guests and have lots of fun!
Little David’s party was amazing, and he enjoyed it much! Hope you felt the positive emotions from the SpongeBob SquarePants birthday party! Thank you for reading this post. Hope you find something useful which will help you prepare a similar party.
